S14 or S13 chassis? If its an S14 the large wire goes to the starter, so I'm assuming it's the same on the S13. The White/Red wires run into the fusebox and supply power to all your relays and fuses.

If you want to, you can ditch those wires and just make a stand-in sub-harness.
For whatever reason, the two white/red striped wires terminate into the same connector at the fuse box. I'd go buy a standard battery connector with the two bolts to clamp down on the starter wire and make a simple jumper wire to replace the two white/red striped OEM wires. Just size the replacement wire correctly and you're good to go. |

how do you know you have a short with those wires what tests have you done to limit it down to thos? but if your 100% its those wires then replace and or repair the wires to fix the short. from your posts it sounds like ur just taking a guess. post pictures of the said short and we can go from there if this is the problem it is a very easy fix. btw jr ss is correct the two smaller wires power your fuses.
good luck and for quickest responses pm me -Mike |

The only way I get power to my car is when I push those two wire a certain way I hear the power go to the car then I press my killswitch to the posiitive on the battery that's the only way my car is starting I just changed the starter and the starter is some what brand new it has been tested and its working great the only other thing is could be is the ignition switch or both I've had it looked at by 3 mechanics and they've all said roughly that

Question, when I switch the car off the fusebox by my feet gives a buzzing sound and there is a clicking sound in 2-3 second intervals, does this mean my ign switch is messed up too?
