blew ice cold for 30 seconds.....

how can i service this compresser and make it perform like new with out doing full teardown.

Get a new blacktop a/c compressor and forget about messing with it. They are so cheap here in az. You probably will need more refrigerant. And make Note if you are switching from r12 to r134a then you need to change the drier and vacuum the lines / new compressor out to remove the all the refrigerant and oils.

Ok we'll when you pressure test it the fill plug is probably used. I don't know what the blacktop compressor looks like in person. Sorry mate

Yes, there is a fill plug; and it's o-ringed b/c it's a pressurized system. If you're running r134a, you should drain/re-service the compressor with PAG oil, purge/clean out the system lines & replace the filter/drier- your local Vatozone will have all the stuff you need (same as 240SX minus the compressor). Replace the o-rings wherever you disconnect the lines- New filter/drier comes w/them, and o-ring kit for the rest of the system is like 3 bucks.

I can't remeber the quantity of oil you are supposed to service the compressor with. But IIRC, it only took a quick Google search to find it; and I believe it's in the FSM as well.

BTW, I have my clean, good working order blacktop compressor that I brought over from Japan just laying around. If you ever need one or would like a spare on the cheap, PM me. I switched to the KA compressor adapter kit that Codyace sells so I will never use it.
