s14 Brake help.

ive changed my left rear brake caliper 2 times already and i still have the problem. my e brake only locks up on the right rear side and not the left. when i jack up the car and pull the e brake i see my e brake lines pulling evenly and all that but the left rear still doesnt work? im guessing my brake lines are stretched or something?
anyone know how hard it is to change brake lines on this car?

This may sound stupid but are you sure the brake cable is actually connected to the caliper? If it is, then have you tried checking the return spring on the caliper to make sure there is enough tension on the spring to activate the caliper. How bout the bolt that holds the return spring down? FSM says you should only tighten that bolt down to 18-22 ft/lb. You sure you didn't overtorque it? If you did, then it might be binding up on you.
Looking at the FSM, changing out the e-brake cables is a piece of cake. 1). Pop the center console off, 2). disconnect the warning lamp connector, 3). remove bolts, slacken off and remove adjusting nuts, 4). Remove lock plate, then disconnect cable from calipers. Bout the only problem you might have is when you are installing everything back together again. FSM says to make sure you align the matchmarks on the lock plates to that of the cable guides when you reinstall the brake cables to the calipers. Once you've done that, then everything should work okay.
