KA24E bad Fuel pump? plz help
I got a weird problem.
I posted my problem in the small questions thread bout that every cold start up i had my car would immediately shut off after turning over. Sometimes i would even have to push on the gas to keep it alive. Someone mentioned it was bad fuel pump or FPR, I changed the o2 sensor because i wanted to see if that will help and it did. All this was like last week and my car was fine up until yesterday night. Out of nowhere it was giving me problems while i was driving. Every time i pushed on the gas the car felt like it wanted to die/struggling. I didnt see any smoke coming out of the exhaust tho. I'm thinking it is a bad fuel pump?? ![]() Now the wierd thing is my battery is dead, I tryed jump starting it and it was a no go ![]() If i had a bad fuel pump how can it cause my battery not to work or not even work while being jump started? |

Any ideas? Im leaning towards bad fuel pump so tomorrow ill try to replace it.
ill keep this posted if it helps, just incase some other people are dealing with the same problem. |

Don't buy the fuel pump until you replace the fuse. A lot of tines the blown fuse causes no start issues, and stalling issues.

Ok but my car was driving really rough kinda like boggling/chocking/ struggling/ and wanted to die when i pushed down on the gas when i was drvivng. But i get what you mean man, eliminate the easy stuff first thx for the advice

Get access to the fuel pump and w/o disconnecting it turn the key on and listen for the pump to come. Test the terminals on the plug to the pump and make sure your getting 12v. Finally if all the checks out pull the pump let it dry of fuel and test it with some leads off the battery best to use a 15 amp fuse to do that see if it runs then go spend 100 bones.
