Question Resonator on turbo exhaust?

First of all, the desired exhaust size for a turbo engine is about 3", correct? Second, would it be ok to put a resonator (probably about 20"-24") on the cat-back, or would that cause too much backpressure?

Thanks in advance...

Idealy, one wouldn't want any restrictions except for the cat...I think the best setup is a high flow turbo outlet, and cat...3" downpipe and a 3" exhaust with a high flow muffler at the end of it.

A turbo is a very, very good sound deadener. My apexi n1 duals sound very quiet on my KA-T, well.. for being so large they're quiet. I have no cat, but plan to replace my dummy cat (s14) with a hi-flow cat, and expect the noise level to drop even more.
I say wait until you get a turbo and the exhaust, and if it's too loud, then plan on how to fix it. Chances are, it won't be that bad. Especially since you don't live in Cali.
