S14 m/t inhibitor switch Code

So, i have a 97 s14 manual transmission, and i recently got the check engine code for "Inhibitor switch". i have a skyteck alarm and have tried both bypassing the switch and just disconnecting it at the sensor behind the clutch pedal and no luck. Also my starter doesnt engage from time to time and makes some scary noises and im thinking it could be related to the inhibitor switch. I bought new starter, inhibitor relay and starter relay and i have no clue where either of the relays are located .. Any Help??
