So it would be 3"(DP)->3"(TP)->2.25"

Is it really safe? I would think it would be a bad thing... unless it went from 2.25"->3". Big, Big, then small?

If 3"->2.25" has no problems with back pressure or whatnot...then maybe, but I have the same question as you. I thought it was bad to go from big to small

It shouldn't hurt anything. I'm not sure how your gonna bolt them together but I don't see how it would hurt anything at 7 psi and your not driving like a maniac. I mean what is the JDM S13's exhaust piping? prolly close to ours but don't quote me on that. As far as going big to small.... My last car went from 2.75" piping to 2" but that was NA. Sounded like crap too LOL but never hurt anything....

Just do it, but be careful. It's not like it's a permenant situation anyway....
