Kindle Fire Tablet - Use as a headunit!!

Selling my kindle fire tablet that I was planning on using for my 240sx as a headunit. It's very easy to mount onto an s14 double din opening. I can send you pictures of how I installed it, and even send you the pieces of metals that i used as brackets.

All you need is to either hook it up to an existing HU through an aux cable, or if you have an amp, use rca cables to connect it straight to there.

Then you'll have a huge variety of apps for music, maps, video, games, pretty much anything you can think of!

I have bypassed amazon's software already and installed CM10 on it.

Asking $100 shipped.

Here is the video that motivated me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvHYqNsBFbM

This is all i did. THen on the original plastic radio bezel i had to dremel off the 4 screw posts behind it and a piece where you connect the aux cable. The two metal pieces pictures support the tablet from falling back, and the radio bezel holds the rest in place.

Sorry It's sold.

But to answer your question, I've been told it's possible to just hook it up straight to the amp using a cable with one side 3.5mm jack to rca's. I've never tried it but i've heard some other people saying it's not possible.

My plan was to put a headunit in the glove compartment and use the aux input.

Another method is to buy a motorcycle amp and use that. They're pretty cheap on ebay.

Very nice.. Not to mention.. Its a mp3 via usb... Gps.. Tv.. PORN? Lol

You can use a small 4channel amp(200w). Connect all speakers to it and use a aux to rca male cord. Sometimes i test car amps that way and it works great.
