![]() I'm in the middle of my first sr20 swap, I've owned sr swapped 240's before but this is my first time swapping it all myself and I want to learn alot from this so...
The step I'm at now is the motor is in, the wiring harness is ran through the firewall and ecu is plugged in, what other plugs need to be plugged in for startup? There are a few plugs by the factory boost controller HERE Also I read on this super street post that you need to pull the KA alternator and starter wiring off the old engine(which I dont have) Read more: Six-Hour Engine Swap I would call a shop but I feel like it will be confusing because they cant see what im talking about. If you've owned an SR-swapped 240, then you should know what needs to be plugged in. Best advice I can give if you are that unsure is to get Wiring Specialties upper & lower harnesses...
As far as what is needed for startup, make ABSOLUTELY SURE that all of your main harness grounds are connected and you should be fine.

Just use common sense man. Trace backwards from anything spark, fuel, or timing related and make sure it's plugged in. If you ever want to get spark, plug in that "extra plug" on the left. That's your ignitor chip.

Like he said above, the Wiring Specialties harnesses have a bunch of plugs for different setups that are not needed... But the harnesses themselves lay out pretty much idiot proof and the instructions are well written. Any other questions you have, Yury answers emails and calls/texts within hours most times.
