I think those maybe the s13 silvia rear qp glass covers that you're thinking of, those are lit and have wiring.

Nope.... The s14 ones I have are wired and light up... Dunno if Nissan made multiple styles for the s14. Cool parts nonetheless... Glws!

The s14 quarters definitely should have the backing and light up with wiring and a relay. I have a set. They only made one kind, and they all light up. Only the 180sx ones don't light up.
