Install A/F Gauge for s14 Sr20det
Hello,
I have a s13 with a s14 zenki sr20det in it. I bought a megan racing air/fuel gauge for it a long time ago not even really thinking about what I was doing. I hear a lot about skinny o2 sensors, fat ones and widebands. few questions here: is a fat o2 sensor the same as a wideband sensor? This is the gauge I got here http://www.meganracing.com/product.a...d=681&catid=76 It says I can just splice the gauge right into the o2 sensor or ecu. Does anyone know if the o2 sensor on an s14 sr20det is compatiable with this gauge or if I have to get another sensor and put it into another bung on the downpipe? Thanks

No
Yes it will work with the s14 sr O2 sensor Yes, You should get a wideband O2 sensor and gauge and mount the sensor in another bung. Sent from my Highly Tuned Galaxy S3.4!!!

Does this mean that the stock s14 sr o2 sensor I have is a narrowband sensor? Also, later when I get a wideband sensor, do I need a controller for it?

I'm sure that Megan gauge is a blinkity blink gauge. If not I would still get a better wideband.
It is a narrow band gauge and will sorta kinda work with your O2 and ecu Sent from my Highly Tuned Galaxy S3.4!!!

Buy a wideband kit. It comes with a sensor and gauge. Weld in a new bung in your down pipe, screw the sensor in, hook up the gauge.
I sell these. Shoot me a PM if you need one. |
