height adjustable camber plate questions?

i've never heard of anyone having these on here so i figured i'd ask. i just picked up some project mu front camber plates for s14 and am putting them on with agx/sportlines (yes they have the spacers). it has a coilover style heigh adjustment with the same collar to lock the piece that holds the top of the shock thats threaded into the adjustment plate. how much should i screw that up (i.e. lower the car, help my shock stroke) before its unsafe. i know 5 threads is probably unsafe for the type of driving this thing sees at the track. should i do, what, like 10 or so threads? any help is help, and pics coming up tonight. thanks!

does no one have these or does no one know? i put the two spacers on before i put the mount on and i do not have it maxed out in drop. yet when i turn my wheel a full turn/turn and a half, i hear a loud pop and when i put it straight again it wants to very badly turn to the direction i was just turning. so say i do a left hand u-turn, after i straighten out the car wants to vear left. do i need to raise the height? is the mount hitting the top of the shock holder? i really really need help before something fcks up please.

It sounds like the upper spring seat is getting stuck, and when you turn, the coil is twisting and causing it to want to pull back. Is there a way to get that upper spring seat to be mounted lower on the shaft? I've never taken apart the stock upper mount, so I'm not really sure.

no, there's no way to move the upper spring seat itself. there is an alternative however, and i can raise the actual mount part with the 3 studs in it, i can spin it and raise/lower where the shock rod meets the heim joint +-1" should i just try lowering the heim joint so that the spring seat is further from the mount part with the studs in it?

ahhhh chit, i liked having it an extra inch lower too. man, whats the point of paying the extra $150 for these things if i cannot use the drop, and whats the point of plates if i cannot max the camber? this blows.

well, if you had coilovers with small diameter springs, you could use the extra inch but since you have normal springs, your sol, plus the camber plates themselves will lower the car around an inch because the stock upper mounts are so tall, my cuscos lowered my car about an inch, and they arent adjustable like yours.

or if i just went gc's? oh well, i'm plannin on the whole coilover route in a bit, for now i guess i just have to appreciate the stiffness of the mount.

I had camber plates on my strut/spring combo and heard pops too except the small camber adjusting bolts started popping off in the air.
