heres the deal folks... i have a 97 240 and my friend wants to sell me his turbo and intercooler from his +95 gst $100. He also told me he has someone to install and make me a manifold for $500...
so the questions are: 1. is it worth it 2. is it even possible (Edited by RPM240 at 1<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>5 am on Oct. 27, 2001) |

possible yes
worth it no it takes LOTS of mechanical experience to fab a turbo kit on any car.....thats y these companies sell "kits" so u dont have to spend the time & big $ figuring it out! even some of those "kits" are so incomplete (ie some honda kits) u STILL need lots of mech exp'c to fit em. save ur $ and buy a GOOD kit. just my .02! |

I am going to say there is no chance of that workin if you are buying just a turbo, intercooler, and an exhaust manifold, you would still need vacuum lines, oil return and feed lines, fuel pressure riser, custom made intercooler piping, wastegate, ECU reprogramming, the list goes on and on.
The stock turbo on an Eclipse would be a very poorly matched turbo for the KA, it's so small that even trying to push 3 or 4psi on that 2.4 liter will have it spooling like crazy and you probably can't get it to do a #### of alot more than that either with that little bitty turbo. $500 for a custom turbo exhaust manifold is really too cheap for it to be very quality work, even if you had all the pieces to do this swap you probably wouldn't be happy with that manifold, custom turbo manifolds are usually around 1000 for a decent one, and the sky is the limit when you want to go better, I personally dig the Revhard manifold, it seems to be the best made for the KA. Well I think I have rambled on enough... hope some of that helped. |

yeah, ditto what louis said, and oni, its not worth it to turbo your 90, unless you are gonna be rebuilding the motor. Most s13's have way too many miles on them, plus the 89-90 240's were the single cam. My personal opinion, go sr20.
