Question about a govner - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Hey guys new to the forum so I'm not quite sure if I'm placing this question in the right spot. What I'm wondering is on my 89 240 when I end out at a high rpm shift sometimes it kills the power, and I have to shift out an into a higj er gear. This is not a all the time thing it only really happened when I had to really get on my first two gears shifting onto a very busy Baltimore highway. Is this the govner kicking in or something I would possibly need to upgrade. Thanks for any help you can offer.
