Well since there was a old topic about this car and the fact it's the only Nissan sport's car being sold in the states, I thought you guy's might like to see the production 350Z. Enjoy, I like it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

oh ####, this thing looks way better real than those cheesy concept pics. Can you fill me in on the specs of the egine? all I know is that it has a 3.5 V6 engine.

Nobody know's anything about the engine or any option's they might have in the future. But if you look at the engine pic, the intake seems to right next to the firewall making it kinda hard (but do able) for a turbo.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents....The car is beautiful..I like it...still Liked the Z32 more...as far as turboing it goes...I dont think they will because one of the reasons the Z32 was canned was because it was to expensive...the new Z was developed to be under 30 grand keeping it affordable....if they turbo it its gonna go over that price tag...and on the other hand...there still is that rule in japan about no cars over 280hp...considering we know the maxima's version makes 260hp adding a turbo would for sure put it well over the 280..I know that they underate the engines..like the skylines and so on...but I think it owuld be a bit to obvious

Its a v6 home skillet. It would be hard, probly ezier to do a Twin Turbo. There has been talk about nissan releasing a Turbo Model down the road, so start praying and try to cut off the crack supply to Nissan America.
Once again. I must post this on every 350Z topic <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> ![]() |

single?!?!?!
twin will still me easier. IMHO rumers are the 3rd year will have some sort of forced induction option. if JWT hasn't made one b4 that. well i know some on the is TTing a 01 max. so tting a this would be a little more practical than a max. all it is, is money, and time. notching the frame might be needed too. like if u where to put tdo6s in a z32. but of course u will need to reinforce parts of the motor and lower the compression. after all this is an ALL AL. block. unlike the VG30dett that it iron. but never fear, some one or company will turbo it. ummmmm. the supra(stock)is a twin
(sequen) turbo and i throttle body, the rx7(stock) too, and the the VR4. and all have a single throttle body. lot easier to put in a y pipe from the intercoolers to the throttle body Vrs engeering a wrap around manifold to connect the 2 sides of the "V" motor. now if it was a i6 yeah singel would be easy to do(supra and rx's). or if there was alot of room under the hood. but we can play "what if" all day, but from what i have read it's best to have the turbo asclose to the block(ie shortest route for exhaust gas to travel) so the turbo/s can be more effective. but who knows. Perfectly said HaloZ "who knows" <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Personally if a turbo came stock on this car I would expect twin turbo's... but I was thinking aftermarket, one big turbo might be cheaper then a aftermarket TT set up, but who know's.

oh yeah, look at all the singel kits for the z 32.. oh wait there are none. just custom. like this one from the purto rican race team. this car runs mid 7seconds 1/4 miles.
http://www.z32.org/unsorted/proz32_7_7_run.avi ![]() another one from japan. notice the #5 and #6 exhaust manifolds coming out of the fender wells next to the strut tower. ![]() how about a sr swapped in a z32? a friend is getting ready to do this to his Z. ![]() their was a Z32 that keeped a cima block in the single turbo set up, but major frame modding was done but that car is dead and the block is now in ATL and being TT'd ![]() http://www.z32.com/readerrides/reader56.htm just a single kit is very very unlikely with the lack of space and the amout of work to fit it. and im sure the 350z will have the same problem. |

Nice.
If I were to get a Supra I would so a single turbo conversion. Didnt know you could do that to the Z. Those arent the VG engine though are they? I have seen the SR one. How much does a VG30DETT engine weight anyways? |

the top is standered vg30dett's but im sure it's built and all the extars...
the seconded one is from JUN in japan so who really knows. more info <a href="http://www.z32.com/page2.htm and" target="_blank">http://www.z32.com/page2.htm and</a> the bottom one(not the one in the sig) is one of the early gen cima blocks, the block that there are several generation of and this one is the one that CAN be borded and stroked reportedly(SP) to a 4liter. but the few ppl that have gotten cima blocks recieved the newer ones that are more like a reg Z vg block. i know the guy that current owns the motor in bottom pic. as for the weight, it's just heavy! i'm sorry but i really think that's possibly one of the ugliest cars i've seen on the road yet. it ranks up there next to the bmw z3 wagon or whatever that thing is. lol I really don't like this new "futuristic" look some of these newer cars have been taking on.

Fucking love it. Seems to me that a lot of the lines seem to carry over from the S13 as much as some of the earlier Zs, which makes me like it even more.
It's so good to see a japanese sports car with a hood again. All those cars with transverse 4's have tiny little stubby hoods. It's so cool to see a car with this general shape - I had thought it might be extinct. |
