H&R spacers for S14 4 lug
I need spacers to clear my coilovers. I was looking at H&R but it seems like they don't make them for the S14 Coupe (4 lug). Did anybody use the ones from S13? They look good on the paper but I'm not sure if these will fit on S14.
How hard is it to replace studs? Is it possible to do it without special tools? I am looking at 15 or 20 mm ones. THX |

Don't be so quick to say S13 and S14 studs are the same. I had a lengthy conversation with an application engineer at H&R a while back when I ran into problems with my studs. The S13 uses a knurl diameter (part that presses into the hub) that is the same for all wheels. The S14 studs have a different diameter knurl for front and rear. So that right there tells me they are not interchangable. I would investigate further before you drop $130 on something you can't use.
Ryan P.S. If it was my money I would go with the Nismo studs (I actually ended up using the Nismo's when my H&R studs didn't fit properly.) and get the spacers from Wheel Adapters. They are very reputable and offer competitive pricing. Last edited by Tubed4evr; 08-06-2004 at 10:58 AM.. |

You're on the same boat as me. I have a s14 4-lug and got H&R spacers. Got the s13 application and it didn't fit. But wherever you order, specify what you need. Every spacers ordered to H&R are actually custom, it's just that they advertise packages which are most popular (I was told that by H&R marketing dept). What you need is:
FRONT: 12x1.25 (Threading), 14.25mm (shoulder=The part that fits on the hub), 42mm + spacer size (Length of bolts). REAR: Same as S13. That's what I did (Actually did a special order at H&R for the front lugs ![]() Hope that takes care of business. |

By the way, I got 15mm front and 20mm back and looks bad!! Also, to change the studs in the front, all you need is an hammer. I suggest you take a lug, put it on and hammer it out. The lug will be fucked up after, but the bolt will be mint, so if there a problem, you can actually put it back.
To put the lug back, just use the same lug, with the spacers, then your disc (Other order might damage the spacer) and bolt it, unbolt it, bolt it, unbolt it... |
