Angry Vandalism :\

This is a long read and I need to vent. Those with ADD scroll down for cliff notes

Man I don't know whether to be pissed, relieved, or super fucking paranoid. I live on a main street and usually park my car in the back of my long ass driveway. I get off of work and get home and my mom took my parking spot, no biggie. When she does that I park outside in the front on the main street and then we switch spots before she goes to bed. So I walk inside say whats up to my mom and then I remember that I didn't find my debit card earlier in the day. So I decided to go back to my car to see if I find it in there. Now a whole lets say 3 fucking minutes passed since I parked the car. I walk back and my fucking driver side window is busted open. WHAT THE FUCK?? some dickless peice of shit I guess either a) wanted my car b) wanted my stereo or c) Randomly busted out my window. That's the reason to be pisssed.

Now I investigate it a little more and don't notice anything that could have been thrown. It looked more like someone thrusted through the window with either a fist or some type of stick. If it was a bat swing glass woulda been everywhere. There was only glass on the driver side and very few small peices scattered on the passenger side. I look around more and nothing was touched. I still had everything in my car like my cd's, stereo, etc...Absolutely nothing was touched. I don't really have beef with anyone so I don't think it was some type of revenge type deal. So I guess I should be relieved...wrong. All possibilites are still fucking open. If they would have taken my stereo that would rule out A and C for the initial reason. But nothing was taken so now im fucking paranoid. My s14 is basically stock all it has is exhaust and half done 5-lug conversion. Luckily I didn't have all the other shit that's chilling in my room on the car yet. I reported the vandalism to the local sheriff. All I know is that tommrows paycheck is 2-way paging alarm and new driver side window. :\

cliff notes:
Come home
go inside for 3 mins
come out and window is busted open on my s14
nothing was taken
fucking pissed, relieved, and paranoid at sametime
need s14 driver side window plz help
edit: actually driftfreaq just called me up and said he can get me one

Has your window ever been slow or erratic in operating? A misaligned window can break on it's own, a local guy had his car bumped into and the front track
got slightly tweaked, he closed the door several days later and the glass exploded.

r240na is right. it doesn't take much to break one if its improperly set but VERY hard to break a car window when its up. okay, throw a ccinder block at it and yeah it'll break but it takes a whole lot of force to accomplish this task if you aren't just throwing something heavy at it.

i think r240 might be onto something

p.s. trsilviaS13 - you're a moron

You should. Since the glass is a large enough span, the right pressure across it will break it with little effort. I knew a kid in high school who closed the door on his Probe by grabbing the edge of the glass, one day he pulled it towards him and got covered in it.

It's funny because if you really try to break it (I used to loot cars when I was younger), it takes a LOT of effort. Small rocks bounce right off and don't even leave a mark, it takes something like a padlock or baseball bat to break it.

my car and several other cars parked near it got covered in fire-extinguisher foam once. my friend and i went to the car wash right away, but one other car sat all day baking in the sun, and the shit ate into the paint, leaving a super-oxidized look.

Glass wasn't loose. I'm pretty sure I didn't break it when I closed the door. I was talking to my neighbor and he mentioned some type of tool that is used to find studs in walls. At the tip it sends out sometype of electric current. Basically you can pop a window with ease and less noise using this. Everything is cool I thought it was going to cost alot but drift freaq can get me a window for a decent price and I'm going to put the window in myself. Anyone know if it's hard to put in a window ??

don't hit the window in the center, hit it at a corner. much easier to break.

Did you look for a peice of a spark plugs? I'm talking about the white, nonmetal part of the plug. You could literally toss a chunk the size of your pinky's tip at a window and it would break with hardly any noise at all.

a few faggots came in to my neighborhood the other night and took out 50 car windows, And we live in a neighborhood that i dont think so much as a little bit of domestic violence has gone on. and if I did have a gun id be making sure they didnt get away. now i wouldnt shoot them but id sure as hell made their car look like shit. and maybe I wouold have shot em in the foot or something jsut for giggles. so i think trsilvia is on to something.

Was there any noise at all? If not it was porcelin, or however you spell it, like said above the white part of the spart plug. A tiny piece smaller than a dime will instantly spider a window. Which leads to it imploding. With it on a string all someone has to do is ride by and swing at the window...

"little white thing"= the little ceramic piece on the top of the sparkplug.

it also could have been one of those little spring loaded punches. i heard they work just as well.
