vet 1000HP part out
Parting... ADDED SOME PARTS
VVL and other parts -S15 motor - SOLD This was the last block Tanner Faust drifted with when sponsored by Nissan. Big Tom built it for him, and it is done as well as any sr20 block you will ever find. It has Darton sleeves installed at 1 degree off vertical to improve torque curve. Bored to 89mm for effectively a 2.15L displacement. It has the pulsar lightened crank. Pauter X-beam rods, considered even better than the Manley Turbo rods. CP pistons at 8:1 comp, with gassing holes drilled for ring expansion under pressure, and enlarged wrist pins. It uses Bluebird squirters, has custom pin hole galleys added for better oiling. Freddy larger oil pan, Primera pick up tube, etc. 1/2" Mustang head studs. VE oil pump decked with block, and shimmed pulley for alignment. Lightened pulley set, etc etc... -VET head - SOLD Lightly polished, coated with a heat treat, has N1 cams, supertech higher rate dual valve springs, retainers and valve stem seals. All coolant and oil holes drilled and tapped for prep on a rwd application. Valve cover has 4 -10an bungs tigged in for pressure vent piping - Stock VVL head - $SOLD Has the holes drilled/tapped where applicable for rwd configuration -N1 cams - $SOLD They have been installed but zero miles -Xcessive VET intake mani - $SOLD -740 Injectors - $SOLD -VET water neck relocation setup - $SOLD -S15 block, head and trans. - $1200 I dont have a clutch for this set. Also I can give you a wiring harness with it, but it is not super clean anymore as it has been used in a VET with stand alone setup, so it has some mods. -KA trans - $SOLD -Z32 manual trans with Mazworks adapter kit - SOLD Good shifting all gears Z32 tt manual trans. Bell housing machined, Maz SRVG adapter plate, trans mount, and shifter. Upsized 4" drive shaft. One pass down the track at a 600HP setup turned a 6 puck ACT clutch to shrapnel. This clutch will hold much more. Just saw an add on Zilvia of a VVL rwd kit that sold for ~2k a couple days ago, without CAS!!
People this stuff is all in this add: -VVL head (already has taps where necessary for rwd, valve cover has tigged bungs for crank case venting) - $600 -Xcessive intake mani (will actually fit under your hood cause I milled the flange at a slight angle) - $300 -Fullrace exhaust mani, single 44mm - $700 -VVL water neck reloc - $50 -Mazwork reloc blocks WITH VVL solenoid and all stainless lines & fittings - $120 $1770 for same parts +/- Add in the CAS (+300) and your at $2070 Then I give you a discount for buying a bunch of stuff together or ship for free, etc etc I need a marketing degree, ha ha Last edited by jxw; 04-24-2015 at 09:01 PM.. |

Big Tom prescribed it, under the premise it offers a better torque curve. It seemed to me it would put more strain on the rotating assembly, but I had no issues and sure enough, plenty of torque.
Other than that, I took him at his word. He was Tanner Fausts personal engine builder for years, and now is privately employed by Porsche drivers for the GT3 cup series. He also was the one who initially gave Mazworx the info on the rwd VVL swap. Good credentials... |

I'll take the water neck relocation and solenoids with adapter plates.
Would have taken the VET head too, lucky guy whoever got that. Texting you now.
