kybs+tein stechs. 1inch front strut travel? blown strut?

hey guys i had my kyb's and tein's installed a couple of weeks ago. i just looked at the damn things and looking at them, i only have about an inch of front strut travel, is that normal? the other thing is i spun out on an on-ramp the other day, same time that it felt like one of my tires was flat. i checked tire pressure im at 39 all the way around. one other thing is that when i steer my car, i hear some kind of grinding noise? its new to me.. im wondering if the KYB's could have blown with the whole 500 miles i put on them.. i pushed down on all 4 corners, soft and stiff setting, and they seem to be fine. any ideas? i need some help, i almost got killed doing on the ramp which wasnt much fun, but then i faced oncoming traffic. posses a small problem id say. hehe.

u need to figure out exactly what the car was doing. basically broken into 4 parts. (this isnt for driving but rather creating distinct lines between mechanical forces)

straight line braking
turn-in/trail-braking
post initial turn-in/ coast/acceleration
turn-out/ acceleration

my guess is most likely u are talking about turn in oversteer produced by too high of a bound dampening on the rear in relation to the front causing wheel slippage, which is only exageratted by power application before car has taken its set. however if car has taken its set and u are hearing bearing noise rather than tire noise, then well thats bearing noise, lol.

do u know what kind of diff is in the car? a 2 way clutch type will cause noise + a tendency to oversteer on deceleration/corner entry.

what direction are u turning, corner entry or exit, initial understeer to snap oversteer or just plain oversteer or locked wheel?

were u on the brakes and how do u know u have only 1 inch of travel?
