problems with my 240. help if possible

i just recently purchased a 91 240sx (this is my second one so im pretty familiar) and after i picked it up i noticed little problems with it. I noticed that when i brake real hard at high speeds or even if im on the highway and i hit a bump the car sway backs and forth pretty badly. it varies but sometime it wont stop till i slow down. could it be the suspension? i know its not in the brakes. has anyone else had these problems?
also i am going to put an alarm with keyless on it and usually you need an actuator but i was reading somewhere that you dont. does anyone have some first hand on this?
and my diriver window isnt going down. when i hit the switch i can see( with the door panel off) that the motor turns just a little bit then stops both ways. do you think that its my motor that is locked up?
thanks, joel

If the car is swaying, obviously it's suspension related. What exactly I can't say because your description is pretty vague.

If you car is equipped with power locks, you don't need actuators. The 91-94 cars use a one-wire door lock system, the wire is orange/blue, found high in the kick panel coming from the door. You cut it and wire a relay through it, but I don't recall offhand the exact sequence. DEI online might have a diagram.

For the window, if the motor tries to turn then it works, but what may be happening is the regulator cable is kinked or bound up and won't move. Take the motor off the regulator and try it free, if it works then replace the regulator.

yea i was just out at my car and i found the wires that someone had used for the power doors locks so thats cool.

as far as the swaying . i mean its a hard problem to explain. the whole car doesnt move or anything but it sways and rocks back and forth. maybe a weak suspension? or something?

Sounds like your struts in the rear are blown... my S14 did the same thing...new spring/shocks and it rides like a dream..

Does the swaying feel like it's coming from the front or the back? Can you tell? One of my tie rods cracked on me once and everytime I broke it felt like my front end was shifting left and right. Once I fixed that it straightened up. I'd just put the car on ramps and take a close look down there. See if you can find any thing broken, cracked, and/or leaking.

The window can be a few things. Does the passenger window work? If so, you've probably got a bad Power Window Amp. It's the black box that the window wire harness plugs into.

Good luck,
Matt

it feels like its coming from both but more from the rear end. the ride still seems pretty goog, could it still be the struts?

if the motor is moving, could it still be the amp box or whatever?
