You're using a Chilton's manual. And you wonder why you need help.
Buy an FSM.

For figuring out what generic PO / OBD II Diagnostic Trouble Codes apply to your car, go to the following website: http://www.obdii.com/codes.html PO105 doesn't make sense...Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction...???..intake/vacuum leak?? P0325 is common for 95+ 240's. Problem usually turns out to be either bad grounding wire at the engine block OR bad wiring connector at the Knock Sensor. The problem is hardly ever the actual Knock Sensor itself. P1105 Open or shorted condition detected in the baro read solenoid control circuit....Never seen this code before on a 240...don't even see it in my 95 FSM....what year is your car again?? Anyhow, hope this helps....Good luck!! ID '95 SE |

Yea I guess that was stupid for the year part so its a 98 base model I know that doesnt do anything as far as problems. I had bought a new MAF and it the computer still says its faulty. Ive even tried redoing alot of the grounds but I dont know.

i think 95s are obdII.. you can tell it by the connector. they are not interchangeable..

95 S14s have the OBD connector, but weren't fully compliant, not until the 96s were introduced, hence the difference in codes. An example would be code 114, VSS on the 95, is a dead code on 96-98 cars. OBD-II wasn't mandated until the 1996 model year, that was when it became standard across the entire US vehicle lineup.
