s13 S13 wheels and tires?

I'm going to be putting a 4bt cummins in a S13 to pull my drift S14. On the rear I want some ridiculously wide wheels almost as if it were a dually. Well I'm having a problem finding rims and tires to fill the job. Don't really want to stretch tires but can if i have to as long as it's not a significant amount of stretching. On the rear I'm looking at, at least X14 wheels. Also there won't be any camber either. Any suggestions?

They make 15x15" wheels in 5x114.3 lug pattern. But it still won't solve the fact that your car isn't designed to haul, especially 4000+lbs. It would be easier/cheaper/better for towing to put your s13 chassis on a truck frame.

A year or two ago there was a 4x4 240sx on CL for like $2500. He just took a hatch shell and put it on a truck frame with a SBC 350 and working 4x4. It was a mud toy though.
This is the car, although I haven't been able to find anything else on the build.

Just because it has a cummins, doesn't mean it'll tow... There are a lot of other things that go into truck design to make them suitable to safely move that much weight. You might make it where you're going once or twice, but sooner than later this will happen.

And if you're dumb enough to get that far, I hope you only kill yourself and not others around you.

Just buy a truck, it will be safer for you and everyone around you. Just because a Gremlin can pull a Prius does not mean you should.

I second this, for the sake of others, please don't do this idea. If you want a 4bt in a S13 do that, just don't be stupid and tow anything.

Find the long wheelbase President from Japan, put a Q45 front on it, cage it, Cummins it, and roll coal.

You don't think that it would be possible to strengthen the frame to be able to hold the extra weight? And don't worry, if it's not 100% safe too haul anything, i won't do it.

This is a terrible idea. If you want to trailer a car, buy a truck.

That's the thing, I want to be different. I will have a truck as well, but I would like this to work out.

There's good different and bad different.

Have you ever pulled a trailer before? Have you ever had to make an emergency stop in a pickup pulling a 5000 lb trailer and just BARELY stop in time? How do you think a 240SX with MAYBE a quarter of that towing capacity would fair in that situation?

Did you watch the video posted above of an improper tow vehicle experiencing trailer sway then violently losing control?

First of all, that crash wasn't from the car not being strong enough, it's from the wheels being too skinny causing the rear wheels to sway and there was probably quite a bit off wind in play. Thus is why there is duallys. The wider stance stabilizes the swaying. I've had this happen to me personally in a Dodge 2500 showing that it wasn't because of the car being unfit. They also make trailer sway bars to remedy that. This why I'm putting 14+ inch wheels on it, to act as a super wide (which if you don't know is basically a dually wheel but made until 1 solid wheel). Secondly, yes I have had to stop suddenly with a 15k lbs trailer and it bent the frame. This was in a 3/4 ton Chevy Suburban. If you hit the brakes hard enough in anything you'll fuck shit up but I will strengthen it to make it better. Also I'm going to upgrade the brakes as well.

Do what you want, but don't say we didn't warn you when you crash. It is abundantly clear no one wants to be associated with this bad idea.

Towing needs three things: wheelbase, frame strength, and weight.

Nothing you can do to an s chassis short of dropping it on a truck frame is going to make that happen.

Even then any chassis a S13 would dimensionally fit on won't be suitable for towing.
