what do you normally do when you get a ticket?

well i got a speeding ticket today while leaving work, to drop my car off @ the alignment shop. 73 in a 60!
I'm taking my car down to my friends shop later today to get the speedometer calibrated. All i need is my speedo to be off @ all, im pretty sure i can get the ticket dropped to a faulty equipment charge. (correct me if im wrong)

it sucked, on top of that, i had no valid state inspection sticker, instead all i had was the pink rejection sticker, that gave me 15 days to re-inspect the vehicle. He gave me a ticket for that too, and said that if i get my car inspected (and valid), ill be able to get that ticket dropped in court.

Man it's been almost 2 years since i've had any violations, it fackin sux that i got busted now, just when my insurance was getting lower.

if it's been 2 years.. you might be able to go to traffic school to get rid of the points.

Call the number on the ticket and ask about traffic school. Then pay the ticket off, and go to traffic school. done deal.

Your insurance shouldn't raise at all if you do that.

Getting married helps to lower the insurance rates

But what inspection you need?? just wondering? All we have here is Smog test, but cops never ask for that (they just suspend your license if u dont go )

I go down to my local Police Staion and ask for advice. They are usually very helpful, if you don't act like a whiney victim. It helps that I know the County Magistrate personally, but it couldn't hurt for you to go ask. Good luck.

Cry uncontrolably like a little baby for days and days on end then I contemplate about killing that bastard cop who gave me the ticket then I go to court fight it get the fine reduced and get pulled over leaving the court parking lot for burning out (because I was angry about paying the ticket) then I start the vicous cycle all over again WEEEEEEEEEEE

go and fight the tickets, first off get the inspection done even if you have to pay for it to get done do it, those get thrown out if you get it done with. the speeding show up to court one of three things will happen. one the cop wont be there which mean the ticket gets thrown out, two the cop makes a deal with you and throws it away, or three the judge lowers the cost of the ticket if you pleed guilty. if you can prove failty equipment go ahead and do that and provide documentation that you got it fixed

Got a ticket, got more stressed out (it was finals week) , didn't have money to pay everything off so i got an extension, eventually did traffic school online (onlinetraffic dot com), finished it in about an hour then i decided to get a radar detector. I think I speed less now with the radar detector

Illegal in Virginia. So make sure you hide it well and don't step on the brakes when it goes off. Virginia Cops will pull you over if your brake lights come on when they hit you with Radar gun because then they know you have Radar Detector. Happened to me once.

Aw that sucks, yeah i think it's legal to have a radar detector everywhere except Virginia and Washington DC. Isn't it like an $80 fine for having one? (plus taking away your device)

I forget how much the fine was. I was just mad because they took my Whistler.
