cxracing ls swap review???

Been searching for hours can't find any review threads.

I wanna swap a 5.3 and I dont really feel like spending almost 3k on a swap kit im using for a cheap engine.

Anyone use the full kit or kbow anyone who has? Does it work well??

Any info is appreciated

I avoided Sikky and CX racing when I did my 5.3 swap. Sikky makes an awesome kit, but I'm not spending 5x what I spent on my junk yard engine on an install kit. CX makes some decent looking stuff, I've heard good and bad. . . not risking it.

I opted for the Holley engine brackets and trans brackets, Creative Steel engine mount bushings and a Sikky driveshaft. Saved a lot of money going that route.

thats what I've done on my 2 ls builds, i use DSS shaft its cheeper than sikky and i think sikky gets theres from DSS, hooker headers but u can make headers if your really looking to save, if you really wanna save $$get holley mounts and buy solid aluminum round stock on eBay 30 bucks drill hole in middle to take place of the creative mount bushings, notch crossmember get GTO pan then maybe try out cx shaft?

i would not use there motor mounts, you can weld up better yourself using oem gm clams and metal, but I'm gonna give CX's u weld it half made weld rest turbo exhaust manifolds a try tho, my buddy got there full swap kit for lsx s13, headers or ok, oil pan is junk, GM oil pans are structural parts they all bolt to trans and motor and stop flex. notch the nissan crossmember and get GTO pan, and hooker mounts. or if you want no notch only buy the sikky pan, its the only company that bolts up like factory pans.
