MA Motorsports Hydro Handbrake Mount

Bought a MAMS hydro bracket a few weeks ago, seemed like a pretty trick part that would make my installation a purely bolt-in affair. Bolts to the rubber boot holes on the trans tunnel and has a provision for an ASD handbrake. Didn't think much of it when I bought it, but turns out it won't clear the T56 trans (Sikky mount kit, Pro 5.0 shifter). Haven't seen very much info on these pieces, figured I'd post some clearance pictures as well as show how I'm having to modify it.

The assembled unit:

Shifter location:

Back side of bracket:

Attempted fit up:

Close up of bolt holes:

Material I'll be removing:

I'll most likely have to add some bracing to where I remove material. It's the first run of a product without much info so I bought it on a whim, just posting my findings in case anyone else was interested. Called MAMS but they never followed up, not much they can do besides a refund but I'd rather have a handbrake bracket.

Good info here for many with the LS based swap. I was wondering how much room in the front when I saw MA post these on their IG account. I guess we know now. I think it will be fine.

I want to see one of these installed, while maintaining the center console.

Took off what was needed earlier this evening. You can flex it by hand so I'll be adding some bracing where needed.

Hey Chris,

It sounds like you spoke with Daelen here about the issue, did he follow up and get it all sorted for you?

We apologize for the inconvenience but its awesome you had the resources to fix it!

We will be making a note on the site, and working on a solution for people in this position.

For anyone else interested in this product, we have found with the help of a few customers that if you take our RHD mount and flip if around, it will satisfy the clearance needs and give you the space to bolt this in!
