s14 Took the 240 to the curbbie.

Travlin to school this morning and going down a 40 degree hill. Wet conditions so i took it at 25 mph, get to the bottom and there is a fairley sharp right turn. So turn in doin fine then hit a little wheel hop from a bump and the slidling begins. ( dam HE's to stiff ) Cross the road and hit the curb with the drivers side wheel / bumper. at rougly 20 mph the back wheel then connected but not as hard as the front.

Comical thing about it is that i really dont think i was being an ass with my driving. Stateing the next car to come down the hill does the same exact thing but it was a ford escort. an come inches from pilling into me.

Now i havent been able to inspect the car really well yet. So im trying to get an idea of what parts ill need to repair this. Lack of insurance means its up to my wallet to fix it. So what would be need to fix a wheel thats bent in at the bottom and out at the top. at a 10 to 15 degree angle. I =ust wanna get an idea of the parts i will need so I can just upgrade while im at it. Or if any of u think its screwed beyoned repair. thanks

Ill post picks as soon as i get the car of the side of some road.

RUCA?
How does it drive? I wacked a curb with my back wheel a while back at about that speed and there was no damage other than a scraped rim.

My alignment on the opposite side from the impact is even in bad shape. She basically looks real sloppy up front with the wheel positioning. My coilover up front is knocked to the side, but the mounting points look okay.

I do have RUCAs.I not sure whether or not they would be damaged. And for driveing it was extreme difficult in turning the wheel.

My car is lowered almost as low as it goes so theres trouble with tire fender well clearence now.

shit like that happens when you have a stiff car, welcome to the club.

things get exaggerated when its wet, even moreso when it doesnt rain often because the oils on the road lift.

Tension rod, tie rod, sway bar, lower control arm, possible bent frame.. you won't know until you take the wheel off..

Just take a quick peek under the wheel. If you see a rod about the size of one of your fingers ... thats the tie rod. My guess: its bent.

Cost you $200 to get fixed at your local mechanic... for just the one side. Sucks. Plus you have to do an alignment afterward. I got a set of TEIN tie rods plus tie rod ends for about $150, then had a buddy install them at his shop. Then got the alignemnt as usual.

I didnt really get a chance to get the wheel of due to remanents of hurricane Gene. It was rained like a mofo, and i usually have trouble with any jack other that scissor jack. I think it was pretty bad stateing mister mecanic gave me a ball park figuer of 800 beans. I Am wondering if i can get just 1 replacement coilover from tein. Anyone know by chance if they swing that? or is it just by sets.

Is there a Sub fame in the front of 240s? i have know idea that might of gottin haggled. or at least someone told me.
