I'm sitting here trying to be PC, now I really like BBS and OZ, but those are both Eurpoean brands, what would you fellas suggest from the east that rocks? Do they have any really nice JDM wheels that don't look childish or too race like?

So in other words you're looking for stylish wheels that aren't overplayed and not so functional that they look like ass?
The new Volk Racing GT-N's are dope. You can't go wrong with Racing Hart wheels. Enkei has a set called the RPOM which has a really deep lip for a 17x7 wheel and it looks really cool. They also got some gunmetal colored forged racing wheel that's 16lbs per 17" wheel called the Bortex RPM2. I also love the look of the gunmetal SSR Competition wheels. I've never seen them on a S13 or S14 yet. Also check out the new line of Dronell wheels. Some of them are fairly lightweight and looks pretty cool. I found these wheels at http://www.importhookup.com (Great deals right now with 5-Zigen, Volk Racing, and Dronell wheels) http://www.whalentire.com (They sell the Enkei Bortex wheels WAY cheaper than suggested retail! ) http://www.tirerack.com Can't go wrong with Oz and BBS though. There's nothing wrong with Euro-wheels. If you like 'em and they look dope on your ride, then get 'em.

Amen to that. Don't feel like you have to be a JDM whore. I say buy the best value product. Value is quality, appearance, reputation, and price. BBS and Oz are proven performers on tracks all over the world - few Japanese wheel companies can say that. If the value is there, buy what you like - be it Euro, US or Japanese. Besides, if the Honda camp is any indication, every JDM wheel that looks good on the 240 will be played out now that so many people are buying Nissans. |
