![]() I had to rebuild my throttle body because one of the seals was leaking. Anyway, I get it all back on, and I'm not too sure of how to adjust my TPS.
The tutorial says: Quote:
1. Does the engine need to be started and warmed up? I've read on NICO and on Zilvia, that you don't need to turn it on, you just need the key in the on position. 2. Does anyone have a picture of the exact two wires to test, for voltage? The guide doesn't describe it very well. 3. When I went to adjust, there was a green/white wire, and a red wire I believe. My voltage read as 4.55. It doesn't read as 0.45 as the guide stated. It doesn't matter what I set my volt meter to, it doesn't read 0.45. It's only 4.55 or 45.5, etc. 4. I set it at 4.55, and it has a high idle, like 1500 when it starts, and 1200 when it warms up. It used to be 900ish when cold, and 700 when warmed up. Thanks.

FSM will tell you exactly wat to do
make sure you set the meter to DC i believe? i had to shake the TPS sensor so it can get to the 0.00 number so maybe you can try that

yeah, make sure your DMM (Digital Multi Meter) is on VDC and within that voltage range.
You can place the leads any way, if it is wrong, it will read neg voltage. Example: -.45 If so, swap the leads of the DMM.

Okay...I'm not sure which setting is VDC, I'm guessing it's the V with the dot and lines?
EDIT: Okay, so I researched and figured out that the V with the dots is DC. So what do I set it on, 200m, 2, 20, 200, or 600?? ![]()

Alright so I'm pretty sure I got it guys.
I set the key to the ON position, and used a paper clip as a probe. I placed the positive on the probe, and the negative on a bolt in the engine bay. ![]() This was my reading. 0.54, which is .4 off. (can't believe it makes that big of a difference..) ![]() I loosened the TPS sensor bolts, and rotated it until I achieved this with the throttle plate CLOSED. ![]() And this with the throttle plate at WOT. ![]() Everything look good?
