newbie Q about Sil-Eighty.... - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Hello everyone.  I've checked this board for a while and seems like everyone here's knowledgable about Silvias and etc, so I hope that some of you can help me out here....

I'm planning on doing some sort of S15 Sil-Eighty, with PS13 180sx body and S15 front end.  Got a few questions:

1)  I've seen V-SPEC Performance's Strawberry Face 240sx owned by Ricky Chu.  From the specs seems like all the front end needs is the strawberry S15 fenders.  The hood, the lights, and the bumper are all real S15 parts.  So just those parts can convert a S14 240sx into a S15?

2)  Is that the same for PS13 180sx hatchback?  Just strawberry face fenders for S15 sonversion, then everything else (hood, lights, front bumper) uses real S15 Silvia parts?

3)  Any other parts needed?  Like headlights wiring harness?

4)  Any shops in Southern California that can do such a thing? (I know V-SPEC can), any shops that sells or knows how to do the S15 strawberry face conversion for the 180sx liftback?

5)  Has anyone done this in US yet?  Sil-Eighty with S15?

well, all i know about the sil eighty is that mako and sayuki drift in it extremely fast and are the fastest on mt usui.

do you even know what a sileighty is? its the back of a 180SX with the front of an S13. a strawberry or one via like you want is just a 180SX back with S15 front and there are kits todo this. theyre rather pricey though.

*cough* You mean "Kenji". Well, with the strawberry face fenders, you'd have to order them from Japan. Don't ask me where, I have no idea. The only people I've seen do it were from Japan. The rest of the folks out here just have S13 Silvia faces. Normally I've only seen S14 "ichigo" faces sold here in the states from places like wholesalehyperformance.com. Although since it's just fiberglass with the strawberry face S14 fenders, you could have a body shop to modify those to fit, worst comes to worst when you can't get ones for the S13.  Contact Grumpy at McKinney Motorsports, maybe he can help you out.  I forgot his e-mail. Get yourself some power *coughturbocough* before sporting something that cool!

Thanks Takumi (quite a few Initial D fans here)

well I know a shop in Japan that carries the Strawberry Face fender for PS13 180sx, S13 Silvia, and S14 Silvia, so all 3 can be made with the S15 front end.  Just wanna know if the other parts just use stock hood and bumper.

btw what's the difference between PS13 an RPS13?  Aren't they both 180SX?
