Taking off antenna?

Anyone know how to take off the antenna on the fastback 1990 240sx?.. I really cant see anything because there is a metal plate blocking everything. Im taking it off because I just got an s2k style antenna. Thanks

Mast unscrews, outer nut unscrews, 2 bolts drop the assembly inside the quarter panel, cable unplugs. Honestly, if you can't figure that out how do you expect to put the new one?

i did the s2k antenna conversion. longest part wuz yanking out the OE assembly. its kinda self explanatory, dont necessarily have to be mechanically inclined to take it out.

Ok guys I got it finially from just messing around with it. You take a C clip plier and stick it in the two wholes on top of the antenna and twist it off. The antenna is looking mighty sexy
