Help passanger door cant get it open

A while back i had my whole car painted. well when i got my car bakc the lock cyc. in the door wasnt poped into place and when you used the key to lock or unlock it the whole thing would turn.so, i take it bak to the body shop and they fix it .well about a week ago the door just stops opening the key will unlock it but its like the rod inside the door has come off and it wont catch to open it and i cant get the door panel off with the door shut. any ideas?????

See if you can run a coat hanger between the window & doorframe to snag onto the locking mechanism so you can slimjim your door open. If not, then find a family member or friend with a AutoClub Card. The AutoClub card can get you access to a locksmith at a lower rate than normal.
