Recently my car has been starting weak. It takes a few tries to get it started. and when it starts, it sounds really weak. And just a few days ago my car wont start. when i turn the key all it does is just click. I've narrowed it down to either the starter or battery. so what do you guys think? i also used a volt meter on my batter and got a reading of 12.28 is that about right?

What is your voltage when you try cranking the engine? 12.28v with no load is good. If your not sure on the battery, take it to almost any local parts store and have them test it. Most places will do it for free.
