purchase safc II and tune it ultra rich, retard your timing 2 degrees, 4-1 header deleting stock cat helps. of course all of this is ultra retarded, but if you don't care about your motor, then this is for you.

hahaha.. oh man... if you really wanna backfire, just get a tespipe, headers and 3 inch exhaust...then do an ebay search for flamethrowers under the auto section... then go to a vinyl sticker place and get the same sticker paul walker had on his supra in F&F (if you dont already have it). you'll be uBeR L337!

mine backfires about once every 15 minutes i drive... like a big loud one, the kind that light up your rear view mirro. normally, they just pop out little flames when off-throttle though. when i go up the mountains, and im on it, it'll fire off some pretty big flames. its neato torpeodo!!

Boost your KA and run an atm BOV w/ a straight exhaust. Or I can sell you this MSD I have that backfires at a button. Very good for launching at full boost or a set RPM.

Just run straight pipe and somehow run a little rich. WHen you redline you will backfire. But it's retarded, it will just break ur exhaust system.

since when? my car has been backfiring since January 2004 and my exhaust is perfectly fine thankyou

and i usually backfire in the neighborhood of 3-5k RPM and under hard acceleration upshifts SOMETIMES...mostly coming off throttle in the mid rpm range htough is when i get the biguns

My car backfires around 2k rpm when i left off the gas when in gear and its coasting. I have a hotshot header, high flow cat, and a custom exhaust.

does anyone know why it backfires? It doesn't backfire at any other time.

Mines used to backfire alot. Attracted to much attention.
I had a gutted cat with my HKS hiper 2.5 piping and Greddy Headers and HKS intake. It was hella loud. No backpressure man.

run open headers. no cat no exhuast, and if u have a fuel pressure regulator , turn tha up, aand run a walbro and also an external fuel pump

I've installed a bunch of those autoloc flamethrower kits...crazy...but not really loud like backfiring. They sound like an F15 taking off though, if thats what you're into. By the way, they give you about 20% of what you need in those kits. You need coils, plugs, wires and usually a few more relays.

Most anti-lag systems use 10-20% open throttle, 20-30 degrees retard, more fuel etc. Rapid cool down for the turbo when its off (dumping fuel and air without fire) and lots of boost and bang bang when on.
