Ok so i'm swapping pumpkins to finish my nismo lsd install and....

The half shafts don't fit as the directions say. This is for the open diff model.

Viewed from the top, drive-shaft holes infront, it says the shorter one goes on the left and longer one goes on the right if the hypoid gear ratio is less than 4.000, and the opposite if it is greater than or equal to 4.000.

The shafts fit if I assume I have a greater than 4.000 hypoid gear.

The funny thing is I swore stock was 3.9 and I know I havn't changed it...

probably not helping you,
but is that the way you took it out? from what i know, you're supposed to put everything back the same way it came (so you're not suppose to switch up anything)...

there's a pretty decent desc w/ pics on how to install diff in pumpkin on driftfactory's website

stock is 4.08. That's why It fits the way it does. J30 is 3.92

THE DIFF IS IN!! I need somebody to take me to autozone to get diff fluid to break it in!!!

After that queer gets back, head down to the roseball like I did and do it in the aquatic center parking lot. It was a little before new years and all the people who were making the floats kept staring at me. One person even had the nerve to tell me to leave and that I couldn't be doing figure 8's like that. Then i got security called on me so I had to bounce and continued to break it in on Chevy Chase and other surrounding streets.
