buy the osram brand h4's for motorcycles. Its Sylvana's german brand. They're w very white light as the silverstars are more blue. I bought some from a bike shop in sf for about $25 shipped for 2

If you just want stock replacements, the SilverStars are the best you'll find domestically. (I can't speak for what's available in Europe or Japan) I've got them on my car.

In S13s with popups, these H4 conversions are as easy as a stock replacement. More expensive, but completely plug and play.

For the BRIGHTEST possible headlights, you can rewire the headlights with some heavy gauge wire and relays, then get high quality glass H4 housings like the Osram or Hella units and install high-wattage bulbs. This will be like see-through-walls bright.

This is as bright as you can get without going to HID.

I would go with silverstar bulbs rather than the "afterglow" ricer bulbs he runs but the output on my jeep and mr2 was exactly the same. HIR bulbs aren't worth the price so don't bother.

I just put in some ECE-Spec Hella H4 Conversion Housings with Osram Silverstars. They're bright, but more importantly the housings spread the light better than sealed beam Sylvania Sliverstars. On the downside the Hella ECE-Specs angle the light to the left side of the road so in the US you'll find that the burm on the right side will be dark and unlit.

I also tried out some PIAA Xtreme Whites and they're just as bright I'd say as the Osram Silverstars but the bluish tint cuts down a lot of the clarity so you can't see as much detail on the road or as far up the road. PIAA isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Osram Silverstars = $30 Shipped.
PIAA Xtreme Whites = $60-$70 @ Local Stores

I got Nokya 100w high beams to go with the HID low beams. Closest match I could find in brightness and color. Only $20 too.

I ran APC, PIAA, then HID in the low beams and APC, SilverStar the Nokya in the High beam.
The APC are like any painted bulb crap, they burn out in 6months.
The SilverStar's looked good till I put the HID's in. Then they looked like yellow fog lights.
The PIAA's had the best color. Almost a pure white. They didn't put out any light thou. They look kick ass on my friends WRX now.
The Nokya is a higher wattage bulb(100vs55w) that's light output is impressive. The tinting is just right to match the HID's.

Now I need to find some corner bulbs that match.
