S15 Hood Emblem Color Variations

Apparently there are two color choices for the "S" hood emblem that came on the S15, 65892-85F00 Dark Chrome, and 65892-85F01 Chrome. Does anyone know if certain car colors came with respective emblems? Or would it be a year dependent thing?

The dark chrome was on the earlier S15s. The normal Silvia emblem is dark chrome on all 1999-2000 and chrome on the newer ones. The dark one costs more at resellers as it is more rare. There is also matching dark chrome "Silvia" and "Spec R"/"Spec S" emblems available.

My S15 has the dark chrome emblem.

It's great that your S15 has the dark chrome emblem ? it adds to the car's exclusivity and value, especially since it's a rarer variant.

I think a lot of people like the darker color. I'm ok with either. You can buy the front emblem everywhere and it's not expensive.

There's certain emblems like the S15 trunk Nissan emblem in dark chrome which is unavailable in a lot of places. I think these early dark chrome emblems will disappear and not be available new anymore soon. But everything will go away eventually as old stock gets used up... that's how it is with old cars.
