Clutch Master Cylinder, Buy New or Rebuild?

Guys-

So my pedal is feeling pretty mushy and does not come up all the way off the floor. It seems that my master cylinder has tooken a dump on me.

Should I just rebuild it or buy a new one?

OEM from the dealership is 100 dollars here! I paid 40 for mine at a local shop that had it in stock, since i needed it that day.

I rebuilt mine and it blew up. I know I'm stupid, but its not rocket science to rebuild.

SO I bought a new one and it works cool.

Maybe it's cus I used a Kragen rebuild kit and not OEM...

In conclusion:
- Buy a new one
OR
- Buy oem rebuild kit and rebuild.

Did you hone the cylinder? If not, it may have worn on the cup seals and it wasn't sealing properly.

I didn't hone mine (doesn't that cause leaks anyway?) and it works fines. I do need to adjust the pedal, but was I suppose to hone it?

Anyone know if the NISMO slave is a big improvement? They're pricey, but are they worth it?

Guys-

I rebuilt mine and it took a matter of 5 minutes. I got a new piston, seals, rubber boot, everything. Just make sure you grease everything correctly with the right grease, it makes a world of difference!

the nismo one is just a z32 slave. Its just a bigger piston so easier pedal.
