i'm going to need new pads this summer, wondering if anyone has ordered the pads from PDM before, and what experiences they have had with fade and stopping distances

side note: i don't need to replace my calipers if i buy their rotors do i?

Aw, c'mon T - you gotta buy your pads from CarboTech! I know that PDM is a good vendor in the community, but those guys really know their stuff! (talk to Andie - he'll get you just what you need). Great selection of the best brands - and if they can't beat someone else's price, they'll tell you (or at least I've heard this story from two other people).

Otherwise, I can't recall any stories from people running on PDM KVR's. My guess would be compare to EBC green (since everyone seems to use that compound).

hippo-
i wasn't planning on getting the KVR's, but i thought that if i was going to buy rotors and lines and crap from them, it would be easy to just get pads as well, and i'd save some $ on shipping. but they seemed a little cheap in price and i hadn't heard anything about them, so i asked. does carbotech sell rotors and lines?

........still wondering if i need to replace calipers at the same time as rotors

As far as I know, you shouldn't need to replace your calipers with aftermarket rotors as long as they are specified for your application. Like you said though, it would be a good idea to do pads when you do rotors.

Check out their website www.carbotecheng.com

I know they do pads and fluids, I think they do rotors, not sure about lines. Try giving them a call (talk to Andie) too b/c I know people who have gotten things from them not on the site. I just hate the idea of doing the brakes and then skimping on the most vital part!

As for the calipers - unless you are doing the z32 upgrade, I can think of no reason to replace your calipers unless yours are seized (like my right rear &nbsp. Any aftermarket (or factory) rotor for the car will work w/ them.

i wouldn't so much say i'm doing a z32 upgrade, but i would like to improve my braking system, which includes calipers. i've been looking at stoptech, baer, willwood, and brembo; all their stuff is expensive, so sometime down the road z32 calipers may be had. what's the real deal on the rebuilt ones from autozone anyway?
