Hankook Ventus Opinions?

Yes I searched.

Now, I am looking to get some nice, grippy summer / autoX tires and I have heared that the Hankook Ventus tire is nice, and the price is right. I am trying to get an opinion on these for my stock S14 SE wheels, anybody prefer Kumho 712's to these? Any other tire for under 70 bucks? Just looking for opinions.

And no I am not going to buy new wheels and tires for AutoX, just winter tires and summer tires. Thanks.

driven them bolth they are decent for the price i would say 712's are better either are nice street tires and can hold fairly safely on a track. if you are seriously planing on auto-x alot buy better tires though i most ppl like falken azenis sport if you have stock wheels they are only ~77 each from discount direct.

es100's are also a pretty low-price summer tire. i have no complaints other than hydroplaning a bit easy.

The HR-II is doing pretty well on the market right now, I sell them everyday at PBY. Their priced damn well and if you get four installed; mounting, balancing and, valve stems are free. The HR-II / K405's rated well with SCC last month or so. I dont think youll regret them if you havnt had better. But you might want to look at getting tack tires for track days, and street tires for everyday.
