Exhaust Hangars and Clearance

I have heard that the Apexi N1 single has crappy ground clearance. I have also seen many pictures of other cars with exhausts with bad clearance. I have done my searches and have found nothing on how to fix this. Except by using hose clamps. I saw a little bit on exhaust hangers but my questions on them were not answered. So here is my question. How much more clearance can I get by replacing stock exhaust hangers with urethane (Nismo) hangers. Or how can i get more clearance with ne thing (except hose clamps)!
Thanks

I have searched so please dont say "go search".

You can custom make some hangars. Frozen Urethane and a paddle bit.
Nismo will only gain clearance if you have sagging hangars.
www.splparts.com has a pic of nismo vs. stock.

Yes it might fit fine but i have heard that once you get coilovers and lower the car it doesnt have enough room for a hand to fit in between the pipeing and the pavement.

Do what I did....Hose clamps around the stock hangers. You can adjust them as tight as you want! My car is pretty low, I scrape on lots of stuff. I cinched them as tight as I could and got some extra ground clearance.

it's approx 2.5" lowered, and it's fine, exhaust has minimal scrapes, the stuff that scruffs up is the front lip...

if your so worried about ground clearence with the N1 then why don't you look into a different exhaust? Unless you already have it....

(FYI) The N1 Duals dont "sag" like the N1 single. And personally the Duals look better!

Because the N1 works with the KA and SR20 and i have a KA right now but around May will be getting the SR20. And I love the N1. Plus it is cheap. Unless you can tell me if the Blitz Nur Spec works with the KA or the RSR Ex Mag GT2 works with the KA.

I seen a coupe with a SR motor running the Blitz. I dont know about the RSR. I think any single canister will look "saggy" unless you get a kit or rear lip. That is why i love the duals. Oh yeah...live on "scrappage"...it will happen!

Exhaust is chassis dependant, not motor dependant. Provided the exhaust fits your car, a motor swap won't affect it. The CA and RB motors are exceptions, but people usually get a custom downpipe and use a ka/sr (s-chassis) exhaust.
So.. any exhaust for KA works with an SR, because it's the same car and same mounting points.

Ya i know it has to do with the chassis but some say it is very loud if you use a certain exhaust made for the sr20 but used on the KA and Yes i do look stuff up, but while i was on the subject i decided to bring another question up.

its going to be louder on a N/A car because turbo's naturally muffle exhausts, this is why 'SR' exhausts are a little quieter usualy. Also, my friend has a dual N1, and the actual piping sits WAY lower than my single n1. However, my canister hangs lower than his. He kept hitting, and braking the actual hangers on the exhaust, so he hose clampe'd em.
