What is wrong with my damn suspension?

Maybe someone can help me out. I recently replaced both of my rear shocks, thinking that it would solve the noises coming from the rear of my car. It did solve a good deal of it..but now my car makes a somewhat different noise. With the original shocks on the car, it'd make noise when taking turns. That is gone..but now my car makes a nice clunk noise on my drivers side when I hit a moderate or large bump. It could be the shock, but if I put weight on the rear of my car, it doesn't bounce around. Thanks for your time,

-Evan

Check your rear subframe bushings...they could be shot.

See pictures #6, 7 & 8....gives you an idea of where to look.
Another way to check your rear subframe bushings is to take your car on a smooth road with NO traffic on it...accelerate to a constant speed...something like 15 to 25 miles an hour...while you are holding your speed constantly at one speed, start to softly then firmly press down on the gas pedal...kinda like in an oscillating motion...if your car starts to clunk as you oscillate the gas pedal, then chances are your rear subframe bushings are toast.
Anyhow...hope this helps..
