That looks to me like one of the following only.

Listed in most likely order.

Front timing chain cover silicone needs replacement.

Front oil pump (main seal) seal needs replacement. Remove crank pulley, don loose the key way or youll be fowkd.

Lower oil pan silicone.

Upper oil pan silicone is leaking. (have to pull motor out so do that last if all else fails.

All of these are very common leakage problems on the sr. Make sure that when you reseal everything all surfaces have been scraped, cleaned, and scuffed with a scotch brite pad. Also make dead sure there is no oil on the mating surfaces.

Also at the area where the front timing chain cover meets the head, you must use silicone there as well.

Also. You must remove the valve cover, to acess the 2 10mm bolts going down into the timing chain front cover.

and dont worry you dont have to remove the timing chain.

How did you get an sr anyways?

That area where there is excessive silicone build up is part of the front cover for the timing chain, as i said it is most likely leaking from there. As you can see by the pic, the front cover has been removed for a timing chain job, or it was previously leaking which would indicate the ghetto rtv (silicone) The top part of the timing chain cover does mate with an extension of the head gasket. It is probibly leaking from there, but dont worry because this is not a pressurized area, so the head gasket would still be fine.

Just pull the front cover, clean the shit our of the mating surfaces, and use the blue rtv to seal it up.
