I hear a really low bass like thud when I am on the gas, depending on speed.
I am thinking it may be suspension, but I would like to know what it would sond like if it were detonation?
And how would I tell if I a, losing a cylinder?
Thanks
Jeff

if u think u lost a cylinder do a compresion test on each cylinder.....if one cylinder is lost the engine souldnt run smooth at all since the crank cycle will be uneven...also there should be a great lost of power!...like...say 1/4 power....detenation is very loud and ur car would just keep detornating....it would be like bam...done!...so probubly the suspension <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

easiest way is to remove a plug wire while the engine is running if there is a significant power loss or idle vary then that cylinder is good once you remove a plug and the engine doesnt make any change then you found your bad cyklinder this can be due to a injector gone bad
