i think i messed up my stock exhaust today so thats my excuse to get a new one.

I've been reading good things about the RSR EGMAX and about how quiet it is. Does anyone know what part of the design makes it so quiet?

I'm thinking of piecing together my own setup because 550.00 is kinda steep for an exhaust for me.. i can get mandrel piping for about 120.00 and i wanted to know which muffler/resonator will provide a nice quiet sound and still provide good flow/gains.

have it in my car it's worth every coin Quite when ur cruzing and not to loud when ur flying and also has a very Deep sound to it sounds almost like a Supra TT on my car but just less quite

i've got a custom 3" magnaflow. I love it. It's pretty quiet and it's straight through. I'd imagine it'd be perfect with a resonator. might wanna check that out.

Just one thing it's the Exmag, Egmax sounds like some super egg or... something... But yeah I too want a RS8R exmag but the price is a bit too steep, so I'll probably end up going custom.

but it's hard to say, because i looked thru the muffler and its straight thru...

I got mine for $445 shipped, but that was a group buy too.

I agree with GoodJuan, every car I've heard with a magnaflow and a resonator has sounded good. Its not too loud and it improved HP. RSR is quieter because it is not a straight through coffee can style muffler, it has internal baffles.

the rs-r exmag is shit loud on a KA with a straight pipe I'll tell ya that. I haven't got the chance to test it with my resonated straight pipe because my turbo exhaust manifold cracked. but i'll let you know how it sounds after.

Suposedly, its quiet with a resonated straight pipe/cat on a turbo car. On KA non turbos, it'll be loud as hell.

The B pipe is NOT resonated, its just the muffler that resonates the sound, theres no extra resonator.
