Low compression all cylinders 95ka24de

Had a low mileage 95 ka24de engine put in my 91 240sx.
The shop that put my engine in did a compression test on the new engine installed, and for some reason got 96 across all cylinders.
They said it was getting spark and that the oil is fine and whatnot...My question is,what would cause that? The shop said that that the timing chain may have jumped, but they dont know for sure.

Also, they had to take out the internal distributor and put the internal dist. from my 91.....

If someone could help me out, that will be greatly appreciated..

Nothing wrong with using S13 distributor on S14 motor. You have to do it that way because the s14 distributor has a built in coil. As for the numbers, was the test done on a warm engine?
