jc penny called my house asked to speak to my dad i said e was not here and the guy told me to leave a message, so i got a piece of paper and a pencil and i said "shoot"

he said "We are having our spring sale..." then i bursted out laughing at him and the guy said "i hate this job i quit" and hung up

I only get calls from clothes donation centers... every damn week. Every week I have to explain to them that we just donated to the other place...

No call lists are great.

A job like that would suck.

one day the telemarketers would not stop calling. then one called and asked for my mom and i told them she was dead. it turned out to be her credit card offerring some deal, but now they had to do all kinds of stuff because she was dead. then i had to explain that she wasn't actually dead, and why i told them that she was. i pwn3d myself on that one.

you can request that they never call again. usually it just takes a "if you call again I will sue you" kinda comment...sometimes works.

i knew a lot of people that worked for a telemarketing company. They said that was the worst job ever.

Do what I did before I cancelled the fuck outta my home phone, they would call for ME, I would be like "hold on, lemme get him..." and then put the phone down, then I would leave it there while I made all kinds of weird noises yelling at the dog, putting porn in the DVD player and putting it on full blast... Amazing how long they will wait before they finally fucking get it

I usually get into conversations with them. Ask them if they know whats wrong with my car. " Can you tell what is wrong here? My 240 just wont start and I kinda think its something to do with the blinker fluid." Usually turns into a 10 min call just by me being an asshole. When they play dumb I just say " You fucking disapoint me!" and hang the phone up.

Caller ID works for me, but usually if I do come across a telemarketer, I let him say "hi" then I hang up, if they call back I would just repeat the process. Usually one hang up does the trick.

There is a "Do Not Call" list you can sign up on to prevent these kinds of things.

Google it. I did it for our home phone and the calls vanished almost overnight.

others that i have done was ask for their personal house number. If they ask why say "So i could call you back" or something along the lines......just try and get personal with them, its great fun
