Lower alternator/starter harness

I am about to send my wire harnesses to a shop to be put together and they said to send in both SR and KA lower (Alternator/Starter) harnesses but it's not required. I sent email to clarify that.

me
it says to send in both SR and KA
lower (Alternator/Starter) harnesses but it's not required. If I send
those in do you change anything on them? s13 sr => s13 chasis

him
the lower harness mod is free.
You can order right off the site or mail in a money order!

me
I was asking what the mod is on the lower (Alternator/Starter)
harnesses , I don't want to send in the lower harness if I don't have
to.

him
What you can do is simply use the 240sx lower harness and switch the
neutral and reverse switches from the JKA transmission to the SR. Then
everything will plug in. About 5 minutes of work.

It was my understanding that the lower (Alternator/Starter) harnesses didn't need to be modified and the guy at the shop didn't really answer my question. Maybe I'm really dense or maybe english is his second language. Can you guys help me out with this? Is this only for a automatic to manual swap?

I need the harness for s13 sr => s13 chasis, manual => manual

phase2 says:
"Transmission harness does not needs to be send in, it's a separate circuit that does not need wiring at all. You just need to swap the sensors from the KA tranny to the SR tranny and everything will be plug and play for the transmission neutral position switch and reverse switch. Don't forget to swap the speed sensor."

didn't even have to search for that one.
