s14 Random stalling with clutch pressed

alright, so NemeGuero and I finished an auto-to-manual swap on an s14a KA a good 2 weeks ago.

there's a whine in ALL gears that we can't seem to make go away.

but that's not the worst of the worries. the car was being driven today, and while it was in first and the clutch was IN, the car dies. just like
so he turns it back on, but has to gas it to keep it alive, and it's running a little rough.

then he lets it idle to see if it was going to stall, but it begins to idle @ 500.

The question is, what's causing this? would it be the motor itself, or something that might have gone wrong with the swap?

sidenote: the car's still running the auto ECU, but this is the first time in the 2 weeks its lived as a manual car that it's behaved like this.

NemeGuero = Evan?

Shit, if so, his car was fine last time I saw him...

It's prolly NOT the auto->manual swap, cus nothing you do to the car when doing that swap would cause that... I would try the manual ECU first and see if that fixes your problem.

Go post in the local forums and ask someone with a kouki S14 to help you out. Just try their ECU on the car and see what happens.

If not, its possibly something totally unreleated to the 5 speed swap.. did you guys try to pull codes off the ECU?

Peace

Did you guys even try what I suggested?

it takes you all of five minutes. and eliminates the most obvious problems.
