KA Tein S-Techs

ok, so I got my Teins today, and I plan on using them on my stock struts for now, since mine are still good. A buddy of mine who is into low rider trucks said I should cut a coil off of those to get it lower. I think its not a good idea...any suggestions? Also, do I need to cut the bump stop at all? its a 92 240

your springs were designed a certain way. cutting a coil will make the car ghetto.

no.. there's no use in doing that.. they're new springs.. don't cut theme.. they're made like that for a reason.. you already get a 1.5 inch drop in the front and 1.2 inch drop in the back anyways.. if you're gonna cut it.. you might as well just 'try' it with the stock ones.. but beware.. the ride isn't great at all. i cut the springs on my car, and it was so horrible.. and just went out and got some coilovers..

yes, dun cut it, i am also using tein s-tech with stock shocks, it's already very good looking, it's not worth to take that risk if u cut the new spring

You know everybody here is right about cutting your S-techs , and beside your friend isinto LOWrider trucks so of course hes gonna impose his ideas on you. I cut my S-techs, i didnt cut the front i only took a coil off the rear and it sat nicely , the back wasnt higher than the front . <<<somethng to think about

I say just don't run any springs at all. The stock shocks are good enough!
