s13 Need help with rim size and offset for s13!

Need opinions on rim size and offset for my s13 fastback.
Looking at 17's with a decent lip.
I was searching the forums and found minimal help.
I wanna run 17x8 or 8.5 in rear and 17x7 or 8 in front. lots of people are running 40-35 offsets.
I dunno if this will work, but i dont mind rolling the rears.
I have tein s-techs with stock shocks in front and apexi shocks in the rears.
Any suggestions and pictures is appreciated. Thanks.

s13

LOL...thanks for your honesty...but ive seen those post i they dont help much.

I guess what im looking for is a survey on anyone who has a similar setup on their S13's. If you guys could just post your setup and if you had to do any modifications (ie roll/pull fenders, spacers, etc.) Be as specific as you can.

Thanks!

My wheels were on an s13 before my car, and he was rolled/pulled/a lot of - camber with 215/40/17 front 235/40/17 rear(i think for a while it was 225 rear). They're 17x9j +14. With that set up he was pretty flush, I think he had a spacer in the front though.

...so with 35-40 i probably wont have a decent lip.

So whats an offset that would give me a nice lip? (of course w/consideration on style of the rim)

I dont mind rolling the rear fenders.

Think 17x8+20 and 17x9+25. It also matters which wheels you pick out

heres a link u can compare ur current wheels [if you know the offset] to the set your lookin at buying, and know how much farther in/out they will be: http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html

Also, tire size calculator can compare old-new sizes: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Im kinda in same boat as you, im wondering if 17x8 +35 will clear in front... probly lookin to put 225/45/17 if thats not too stretched, and calculations show about 25mm less clearance inside, and I got coilovers to watch out for :/ im not worried about fender clearance too much, just coilovers and lock to lock.. any s13 drivers got this or wider setup up front?
